Gifts for God’s Work

Each woman is uniquely gifted by God for a purpose beyond herself. 1 Peter 4:10 (AMP) affirms this truth: “Just as each one of you has received a special gift [a spiritual talent, an ability graciously given by God], employ it in serving one another as [is appropriate for] good stewards of God’s multifaceted grace [faithfully using the diverse, varied gifts and abilities granted to Christians by God’s unmerited favor].” This is a call not only to recognize our gifts, but to use them intentionally in God’s service.

At SFWSLI, we believe that every woman carries something of value, something that heaven placed within her to impact lives, build the body of Christ, and bring light to her community. Gifts vary: some teach, others counsel or encourage. Some lead, some organize, some create beauty through music, writing, or hospitality. No gift is too small, and none should be overlooked. The discovery of your gift begins with a relationship, time spent with God in prayer and His Word. As you walk closely with Him, He reveals what He’s placed in your hands.

But discovering the gift is just the beginning. Developing it through practice, learning, and service is what makes it effective for ministry. Ministry and service are not limited to church pulpits or titles. They happen wherever your gift finds expression, in the marketplace, at home, in mentorship, in advocacy, in helping the hurting. When you use your gift with intention and humility, you are serving God and advancing His kingdom.

Using your gift builds unity in the body of Christ. It reminds us that no one person is the whole answer; we need one another. The teacher needs the encourager; the leader needs the helper. And all are needed in God’s plan. Your gift is a thread in a much larger tapestry of grace. At SFWSLI, we guide women to not only find their gifts but to offer them boldly and faithfully.

We believe that when women serve with their God-given talents, communities are strengthened, faith is deepened, and God is glorified. So, steward your gifts well. Serve with joy. And remember, every faithful act, no matter how quiet or small, contributes to God’s eternal purpose. You were created for this. Use your gift. Let it speak of His glory.
